Collections jobs in India: tele-calling and field work

Collections ads often use one label for two jobs. Tele-calling and field work do not ask for the same day or the same evidence on a resume. This page explains the work and what gets a profile shortlisted. It is a guide, not a vacancy list. Live openings are on the careers portal, and they change.
Tele-calling and field work are not the same job
Read the channel on the listing before you apply. The word collections is not enough to tell you the work.
- Tele-collections is phone work with targets. You are on calls. You are not travelling an area.
- Field collections means visiting an area. A field role needs a two-wheeler, knowledge of the local area, and readiness to travel.
- A listing can also name team leader, recovery and follow-up, or area and cluster manager. Apply to the title the listing uses. If you have not done it, say so.
The city on the listing decides the language
Languages depend on the city on the listing. A language you use at home may not be the one that process needs. Read the listing, and name only the languages you can work in.
Say the city you can actually work in. Do not assume the role is remote unless the listing says so. A listing for one city is not an offer to work from another.
What gets you shortlisted
Screening is specific. A line that only says collections does not tell a recruiter which channel you can work.
- Say the channel: tele or field.
- Say the city, and the languages you can work in.
- Mention a target number only if you have actually handled one. Leave it off rather than guess.
- For a field listing, say the area you know, whether you have a two-wheeler, and whether you can travel.
